HEBRON: Bomb kills two people near CPT apartment
As the Hebron team finished dinner Saturday evening shortly after 7pm, a
loud explosion shook the area near the team apartment. The team saw smoke
rising from the site of the old Palestinian wholesale market, in front of
the Avraham Avinu settlement, an area currently off-limits to Palestinians.
Team members watched from the apartment roof as the Israeli military and
police, settler security, and settlement ambulances responded. Early
reports from Israeli news media indicate that a Palestinian suicide bomber,
dressed as a religious Jew, killed himself and two Israelis, including a
pregnant woman, in the blast.
More reports on this event will follow.
