CHICAGO/TORONTO PRAYER ALERT: Organize vigils for four CPTers missing in
Iraq

In light of recent threats to the lives of CPTers missing in Iraq, we ask
communities of faith around the world to intensify prayers for the
transformation of the hearts of those who are holding our friends.

We ask that congregations hold Tom Fox, Harmeet Sooden, Jim Loney and Norman
Kember in the light. Pray that they will remain strong and brave and that
Jesus will work through them in miraculous ways to transform this current
predicament.

We also ask that congregations pray for all people currently missing in
Iraq, for prisoners in Iraqi jails and for the prisoners' families.

Below is a link to the Mennonite Peace and Justice Support Network website,
which contains information on the four CPTers and a PDF file that can be
used as a bulletin insert or a street leaflet.

CPT encourages groups to organize public candlelight prayer vigils
throughout the coming week highlighting the messages: "Love your Enemies";
"End the Occupation"; "Release the Peacemakers." For a current schedule of
prayer vigils see

http://www.cpt.org/iraq/response/PrayerVigils.htm

Please register your prayer vigil so:

--others may attend

-- CPTers and their family, friends and support groups know they are being
prayed for.

Please also join the Langley Hills Friends Meeting, where Tom Fox attends,
in prayer at 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., EST, daily, or pray at 7:00 your time,
thus wrapping the globe in prayer.
