An Investment in Real Peace
Military forces in Canada, the United States and the United Nations spend US$150,000 or Cdn$220,000 per soldier per year to maintain a war-fighting or "peace-keeping" capability. In 2012, the cost to maintain one US soldier in Afghanistan was betwen $815,000 and $1.4 million a year (One soldier, one year: $850,000 and rising, CNN blog, February 28th, 2012)
It costs money to keep Christian peacemakers in the field too: money for travel, subsistence stipends, and communications equipment. But the cost of one of our peacemakers is only one-tenth that of a soldier. And our teams are many more times effective in reducing violence and contributing to real peace and lasting security.

Estate Gifts
If you reside in the United States, CPT would be honored to be a part of your estate planning.
Estate planning helps direct how your assets will be distributed as you desire. Naming CPT as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or as a recipient of a specified amount in your will helps provide a vital legacy of support for peacemaking. CPT is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization.

Stock Donations
