CHICAGO/TORONTO: Christian Peacemaker Teams seeking two Co-Directors

Christian Peacemaker Teams is seeking two people to fill positions as
co-directors. Both positions begin summer 2004 for three-year terms and
require a commitment to Biblical perspectives on peacemaking and social
change. CPT has experienced a period of rapid growth in the past several
years, and applicants need to have the leadership skills required to
facilitate the continuing growth of the organization.

There will be two CPT Co-Director positions: Operations and Program. The
co-directors are accountable both to the Steering Committee and to the
decision-makers within the various team operations. The Steering Committee
is composed of representatives from the internal CPT leadership, external
supporting organizations and at-large individuals.

Operations Director
Responsible for human resources, training, finances, and communications.
Must have management experience in a non-profit setting. This position is
based in our Chicago, Illinois office.

Program Director
Responsible for programmatic vision, development and management. Also
includes relationship building with partner organizations and constituents.
Must have familiarity with models of spiritually-based nonviolent direction
action and conflict transformation.

These positions are compensated according to need. Benefits include health
insurance.

Working on teams is an important part of CPT's identity and practice.
Collaboration and consensus characterize CPT operations and applicants
should expect to adapt their leadership styles accordingly.

CPT emphasizes active peacemaking in the historic peace church tradition but
has expanded to include an ecumenical Steering Committee with
representatives from the following groups: The Baptist Peace Fellowship of
North America, Brethren Peace Fellowship, Every Church a Peace Church,
Friends United Meeting, On Earth Peace and the Presbyterian Peace
Fellowship. CPT is a sub-category of more generalized Christian peace
ministries with the goal of stimulating a
Biblical peace witness. Visit our Web Site: www.cpt.org
