WASHINGTON, DC: Christian Peacemaker Teams to "shine the light" on detainee
abuses at Pentagon
On 23 January, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., members of Christian
Peacemaker Teams and friends will hold a prayer vigil at the Pentagon Metro
stop to "Shine the Light" on the abuse of detainees and hostage-taking in
Iraq. A hooded "detainee" representing all persons being held in captivity
by war and occupation (including four Christian Peacemaker team members,
kidnapped on 26 November 2005) will lead candle-carrying participants in
prayerful silence. The four--Tom Fox, James Loney, Norman Kember, and
Harmeet Sooden are still missing in Iraq.
