DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO POEM: Lamentations for Tom Fox

LAMENTATIONS

 Lamentations, Lamentations, Lamentations
 People are crying for their hero
 Friend of oppressed people, hero of love
 Tom Fox you have been hero, hero of deliverance
 You have been pillar of light
 Light that light up Iraq, Palestine, Darfur, Lebanon
 Light that light up Eastern Dem. Republic of
 Congo, Afganistan and everywhere
 Tom Fox you taught us to love enemies
 Tom Fox you are a good example for the world
 Tom Fox, you wok up when you heard about killings of children
 Tom Fox you wept when you heard the cries of the raped women during the
wars
 Tom Fox you were deeply touched when you heard about oppression during the
war
 Tom Fox you took a step a head when you learned about the human rights
abuses in the wars
 You decided to be committed in peace and
 reconciliation
 A decision that has been the end of your work

 Tom Fox you left us when we were still needing you
 Tom Fox Congolese in particular and the whole world in general are still
in need of you
 Tom Fox the world is mourning for your death
 Tom Fox you gave your life so that oppressed people can live peacefully
 Tom Fox you died like GANDHI of India
 Tom Fox You died like MARTIN LUTHER KING from USA
 Tom Fox you died like LUMUMBA from D.R.Congo
 Tom Fox you died like NDADAYE from BURUNDI
 Tom Fox the world recognize you as hero
 You are courageous man like Samson and Daniel in the Bible

 Tom Fox your death is historic
 History of reconciliation and understanding
 Reconciliation between Christians and Muslims
 Tom Fox, millions of orphans
 Millions of raped women
 Millions of people who are mourning for their
 relatives
 Most of them in D.R.Congo, Iraq, Afganistan, Palestine, Sudan
 All of them remember and mourn for your death
 We are mourning, we are mourning, we are mourning
 but we are tired
 We expected that Tom Fox should come back to us
 But our hope is removed
 Now we believe that Tom Fox has gone
 Tom Fox the world remembers you every day
 Tom Fox your friends are mourning
 Tom Fox your family is missing you
 Tom Fox the church and brethren are praying for you
 Tom Fox Tom Fox you will be remembered for ever
 Oh God you said: blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons
of God
 Again you said : blessed are those who died in the
 Lord for they will get rest after hardship
 After the execution of the duty assigned to him
 God our brother Tom is resting but we will be
 remembering him
 May Your Grace surround him Oh God we beseech you to
 give us an other hero
 A hero who will reconciliate the whole nation of
 D.R.Congo in particular and the world at large
