SHOOTING BACK

Pictured here: A Palestinian journalist takes a photo of Israeli soldiers during the weekly settler tour of Hebron’s Old City. Monitoring the tour through cameras is one of the ways Palestinians have found for deterring some of the violence and aggression from settlers and soldiers.

SUSIYA UNDER THREAT

Pictured here: The Israeli Supreme Court of Justice recently ruled that it is legal for the Israeli army to demolish the Palestinian village of Susiya and expel its residents. The village is under constant imminent threat since the court’s decision. Villagers and the South Hebron Hills Popular Committee are still non-violently resisting and challenging the destruction of Susiya by Israeli forces.

DOUBLE STANDARDS AND DOUBLE PUNISHMENT

Pictured here: A member of the Abu Eisha family complains to soldiers about the arrest of his teenage relative, after settlers attacked him and his family in Tel Rumeida. The young man was arrested after the settlers who attacked them complained about him to the soldiers. He was released a short time later.

CHEERFULNESS IS STEADFASTNESS

Pictured here: Palestinian girls from Faihaa School smile for a photo. Located next to the school is the Abu Rajab building, which Israeli settlers want for themselves and claim they bought legally. A settler foothold in the area would likely severely compromise Faihaa School and the overall access to education for these girls.
