Prayers for Peacemakers. December 21, 2016

Please pray today for kak AwatGulala khan and kak Hassan, who CPT Iraqi Kurdistan team accompanies in their nonviolent struggle against corrupt rulers and powerful natural gas companies. They continue to be the voice and hands of change despite kidnappings, death threats and lawsuit against them.

In our prayers let us remember also members of the Asaish (security forces / intelligence agency) and ask the Spirit to move their hearts and minds so that also thy can take part in bringing about the nonviolent transformation of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Psalm 17: 1-3, 7-9

O LORD, hear my plea for justice.

Listen to my cry for help.

Pay attention to my prayer,

for it comes from honest lips.

3You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night.

7Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways.

By your mighty power you rescue

those who seek refuge from their enemies.

8Guard me as you would guard a pupil of your own eyes.

Hide me in the shadow of your wings.

9Protect me from wicked people who attack me,

from murderous enemies who surround me.
