Israeli soldiers used a bulldozer to block the road between At-Tuwani and
Yatta with an earth mound. The soldiers also checked the ID's of
Palestinians using this road. After the soldiers left, Palestinians in
tractors began opening the earth mound. A half hour later, the two Israeli
military jeeps returned, followed in ten minutes by a settler security
vehicle Five minutes later an Israeli military captain arrived and spoke
with settler security. He then declared the area closed, told everyone to
leave, and threatened to arrest anyone who moved earth to re open access to
the road. Meanwhile, soldiers continued to check the IDs of several
Palestinians in cars and tractors.
