The Algonquins of Ardoch and Shabot Obaadjiwan are defending their unceded territory (north of Kingston, Ontario, Canada), from uranium mine exploration. CPT maintained a full-time presence at the blockade from September 3 to October 12, 2007, when the Algonquins agreed to mediation talks and ended the blockade. CPT has lead three subsequent delegations to the area as the struggle continues through the courts, through public awareness campaigns and through political advocacy.
