Lent: "The Way of the Cross in Occupied Palestine"

The "Way of the Cross in Occupied Palestine" is a Lenten campaign to raise awareness of the suffering of the Palestinian people living under Israeli military occupation. These short reflections connect contemporary parallels to the themes found in the Stations of the Cross, a tool used for reflection on the suffering and death of Christ.

As churches, communities, and families participate in this campaign, take photos of actions and send them to cptheb [at] palnet [dot] com. The photos will be placed on CPT's website. In addition, CPT Palestine will create a picture folder on the CPT website with photos from Palestine containing Lenten themes as a worship resource.

FASTING

To undergird this work and participate in an ancient Lenten tradition, consider fasting and praying two days a week for an end to the occupation of Palestine. Traditionally, Christian fast days were Wednesdays and Fridays, though participants are welcome to fast any day(s) of the week.
