Biblical basis of nonviolence and peacemaking
Jim Roynon
Jim is a long-time pastor in the Mennonite Church. He was a high school teacher for ten years before entering seminary and pastoring. His interest in peace and justice issues was peaked after a visit to the Holy Land in the summer of 1998. He went on a delegation to Israel/Palestine with CPT in November of 2000. He became a reservist (part-timer) with CPT in January of 2002. His interest is in practicing violence-resistance in non-violent confrontation with those who perpetuate the use of violence as the means to create peace.
